Season Summary: Manchester United 2023-2024, Premier league focus.
Premier League: Manchester United finished 8th in the Premier League, their worst placing in the history of the competition.
They were level on points with seventh-placed Newcastle but 24 goals behind on goal difference.
FA Cup: United managed to win the FA Cup after overcoming rivals Liverpool in the quarter-finals and Coventry City in the semi-final.
They defeated cross-town rivals Manchester City 2–1 in the FA Cup final to secure the trophy.
EFL Cup: United was knocked out of the EFL Cup in the fourth round by their final opponents from the previous season, Newcastle United.
UEFA Champions League: Unfortunately, United suffered their worst performance in the Champions League group stage,
finishing in fourth place in their group with just four points.
Overall, it was a season of mixed results for Manchester United, with cup success but disappointing league performance.
Transfers: Erik ten Hag’s transfers did not work out as one can see in the sheet “ETH transfers”.
The best player was Rasmus Højlund with an AVG of 5.55.
